Quick Tip - Sign into Chrome and Save a Headache

September 23, 2019

Want your browser's history, bookmarks and saved passwords to follow you around, or to a new computer if you get one? Sign into Chrome using your gmail account.

Don't have Google/gmail account?

You can actually create a Google account with any email address.

Visit https://myaccount.google.com/ and choose to create an account.

Look for the option to set up using your own email address.

Next, use that account, or an existing gmail if you have one, and sign in.

If you switch computers, you just need to sign back in, everything sync's. It's really cool, especially if you have Chrome extensions, as it'll go get all those as well.

Bonus: If you use Chrome on your phone, you can sign in there and it sync's there as well. Handy.

Here's Google's official article on this topic.
